This is my 3rd summer camping at Sunset Shores. The location for me is perfect. It is 45 minutes from my front door but I feel as though I am on vacation everytime I am there. The park itself is very nice and the sites are well kept. The amenities are up to date and kept very clean ! The owners are very friendly and are always available to do everything they can to make their guests stay an enjoyable experience. Fellow campers are the friendliest I have ever encountered. I go to get a quiet retreat away from work which I am able to do. Although there are many activities available for all ages. From fishing to boating, kayaking, water sports, swimming or relaxing at the beach area while children enjoy the water raft with slide. As well the owners and dedicated park committee are always offering amazing events for all ages. If I choose to venture out it's location is close to many trails and activities with beautiful places to visit along Lake Superior. So no matter what you are searching to do I recommend giving Sunset Shores a try it really is a little piece of paradise along Hwy 17 :)

We stayed for one night and called within 10 minutes of arrival, not wanting to drive anymore that day. Staff was friendly and had a spot for us, right on the beach - so thank you for accommodating us. The park is nice, clean, and well-maintained from what we saw. Nice sandy beach. All the guests we noticed seemed to be having a great time. Our site was really nice, but it's right where other guests are hanging out all day; I prefer better privacy. However, it would work well for a family with kids to be that close to the beach and not even have to leave your site to watch them. Only complaint is I found the price really high for a campsite... close to $75 after tax.

Easily the most fun, and involved community wise campground I have had the pleasure of being at. Something for all in the family, friends to be found for all ages and memories that absolutely will be carried forever Trailers aren't too close together , the forest parts have been untouched and as much foliage is beautifully left . Room for all the toys on your lot and plenty of parking space Owners who are truly involved , and so kind! Check it out if only to swim for a day and play on the bouncy things in Lake Superior off the beach.

Wow!!!! Sunset Shore is an incredible spot to camp and rent cabins. My group tented and we also rented a duplex right on the water. The owner should be proud of their campground as it's beautiful and well-kept. We go every year and every year we see improvement. They have turned Sunset Shores into a fun family campground full of events for kids and adults. Our cabin is super cute!!!! We were able to watch the sunset and sunrise right from our deck. We slept well and had such an amazing time. No wonder it's always packed in summer. Sunset Shores is the BEST. We will be back again next year!!!!

The staff at these resorts are incredibly kind and appreciative, always treating their customers with the utmost politeness and respect, especially Sri Sai Chowdary! The lake view was absolutely fantastic, and the sandy beaches near the shore were beautiful to watch, even playful!

This is our second year renting cabins for a few nights with multiple families. I would highly recommend for group gatherings, especially for families with babies and toddlers who need to nap or go to bed early. The beach is so close and the cabins are all close together that all of our baby monitors were able to reach for the parents to get together for a fire after the kids went to bed. The Beach is perfect for young children - Sandy and shallow. The inflatables are great for kids (and parents too). Would love to see some swings and playground equipment in the park, but the kids had fun at the beach and riding around the campground on their bikes. Owners were very helpful and wanted to make sure that everything was in good order for us.
